Machine safety – TÜV certified
In many industries, machinery operation poses one of the greatest risks to personnel safety.
It is therefore essential that machinery design, installation and operation is carefully planned and executed according to internationally accredited safety standards.
As well as ensuring human safety, machinery with fail-safe operations leads to less down-time and, ultimately, improved operational efficiencies.
EIS has expertise in machine safety, with qualifications including the industry leading TÜV Nord Certified Machine Safety Expert (CMSE) and SGS-TÜV-Saar (CFSAE)
Our machine safety services include:
Qualified safety assessments
Design, installation, and commissioning of machine safety systems
Validation of safety systems on existing or newly imported machinery
Machine operator training
Machine maintenance

hazardous-area
Hazardous area classification and design
In many industries, machinery operation poses one of the greatest risks to personnel safety. It is therefore essential that machinery design, installation and operation is carefully planned and executed according to internationally accredited safety standards.
EIS has international experience in electrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA) where dusts, gases or mining are present, including those associated with fuel oils, fuel gases, coal dusts, milk powder, food processing and storage.
Our hazardous area services include:
Area classification, zoning and design
Installation of field devices, cabling and safety systems
Inspection and documentation
Maintenance

thermal-imaging
Thermal imaging
Thermal imaging, also known as electrical thermography, is a specialist service provided by EIS to identify variations or faults in equipment before damage or failure occurs.
Many insurance companies require their customers to have thermal imaging inspections of electrical undertaken on a regular basis, as part of scheduled maintenance.
Our technicians use highly specialised infrared cameras to visually identify thermal patterns in electrical equipment and systems. Regular inspection and comparison of results allows us to identify any changes or problems and plan for repairs to be made before damage occurs.
Our reports include a subjective evaluation to help prioritise repairs that will provide the greatest return.
Thermal imaging can be used for:
Identifying potential equipment failure
Checking integrity of components
Determining loading condition of equipment
Planning maintenance schedules, to repair machinery before damage or an outage occurs
Preventing fire or explosion

electrical-compliance
Electrical compliance services
EIS offers a comprehensive electrical testing service tailored for industrial and commercial equipment. Our electrical testing adheres strictly to current Australian and New Zealand standards, as well as international regulations. Moreover, our test technicians are competent in all aspects of standards and the test equipment we use.
We also provide independent qualified person (IQP) inspections, to ensure your electrical equipment meets the highest safety standards. By ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, IQP inspections promote safety for everyone who steps foot on your premises. They also enable proactive maintenance to ensure ongoing compliance and safety and avoid downtime.
Our testing services cover:
Appliance testing and tagging
RCD testing
Testing instruments and meters
Working at height equipment
Electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) charging station testing
AED testing & refurbishment

biomedical-testing
Biomedical equipment testing
EIS provides biomedical testing, and onsite medical equipment performance verification service to medical centres, rest homes, dental practices, physiotherapists and any other businesses with biomedical devices throughout the wider Southland and Otago areas.
Annual performance verification of medical equipment is a requirement for Cornerstone accreditation.
We test to the New Zealand standard AS/NZS 3551:2010. This standard requires medical equipment to undergo performance testing and electrical safety testing in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. Our trained and experienced biomedical testing technicians use state of the art testing equipment and software.
Our goal is to provide efficient and timely service that causes minimal disruption to your practice.
