Fertiliser Mixer Plant

Ballance Agri-Nutrients | Timaru, South Canterbury, and Midhurst, Taranaki, New Zealand

EIS used our experience and knowledge to provide the concept for mixer machines to produce fertiliser for Balance Agri-Nutrients.

EIS provided the concept for the mixer from design to manufacture, installation and commissioning for two mixer machines.

The first stage produced initial design requirements along with a HAZOP study, mechanical design automation and electrical design.

Once design and drawings were approved construction of the two mixers began onsite in Christchurch, this included mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and commissioning.

At completion of construction the two mixers were then dismantled and transported to two Balance Agri-Nutrients sites in Timaru and Midhurst. On site at these two locations the EIS teams provided electrical wiring, IO testing and commissioning alongside the mechanical contractors who were assembling the mixers.

This project won silver in the Innovation Category at the 2022 Master Electricians Excellence Awards.
